I have been involved with the advertisement and computer games
industry for many years. Exactly since 2000, when I have started to
organize with a group of enthusiasts Poland’s first komputer game
league. Together with the crew of counter-strike.pl vortal we have
created an event that was a real novelty in Poland and has attracted the
attention of thousands of gamers across the country.
In later years I have been associated with several advertising, the
first of them was HYPERmedia interactive agency (ISOBAR Poland now), in
which I was preparing projects exploring the possibility of using
interactive and entertainment multimedia in marketing communication.
My next place to serach for a formula to use games as an advertising
medium for corporate clients was Young & Rubicam agency. In addition
to daily work related to handling of brands contained in the agency’s
portfolio I have tried to find the possibility of using games in a field
of rapidly growing market of Internet services in Poland.
Through acquaintances included in the telecommunications and IT
industry, I have managed to create a unique project for promoting the
image of a new brand of mobile telephony using directly the cybersport
(also known as pro gaming) which is term for professional computer
Heyah Logitech Cybersport was the first computer game league in Poland,
which was designed from the beginning as a business project, aimed at
supporting Heyah mobile telephony brand, which has the core target in
the range of young people aged 15-25.
Another place that was very important in my career was CD Projekt Group,
which gave me the opportunity to connect my life's passion for games
through work for tis company. In this place I have dealt with the
preparations of materials needed for the issue of new game titles. Also I
had the opportunity to contribute a new project called Good Old Games
(gog.com) as a Product Manager.
Within this project my experience with hundreds of games was
particularly useful, especially of older titles that I played over the
past 15 years.
I am currently focused on the topic of e-sport (professional computer
gaming) which will become in my opinion, new leisure culture of the
world and the newest type of official sport’s event activity.
